bio

I fell in love with music around the age of eight. It all started after attending a concert by Les Frères Dejean, a famous Haitian group. Born and raised in Guadeloupe, I come from a Creole cultural background. Lewoz, Chanté Nwel, Carnival, Kompa, and Zouk awakened my musical sensibilities. In 1993, I released Cocktail, a Zouk project in which I appeared as bassist, composer, and co-producer. During this period, I worked with most of the successful artists in the region. In 1999, I moved to Paris where I was able to pursue several studies simultaneously, notably at the Bill Evans Piano Academy (BEPA) and Paris 8 University. A multi-instrumentalist, my musical style is defined by a blend of Caribbean music and jazz.
